Facebook recently introduced a set of five new reactions that can be used along with the original Like button. Each of these reaction is assigned with a textual meaning. Other than the old Like button, you can now also Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry a post in Facebook.
Although users have been asking for a dislike button for years, since Facebook thinks that it would definitely cause disastrous events and bring up unnecessary hatreds all around the world, instead Facebook added Sad and Angry emoji and fuses them into the like button.
How to Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, Angry in Facebook
So, for those of you who still don’t yet know how to use the new feature to like, love, haha, wow, sad or angry a post in Facebook, you can refer to the methods explained below.
To use the new like button in Facebook, simply hover your mouse to the usual Like button. Do not click on it yet. The new emoji will pop up right above the like button. You can then select whichever reaction you want to react on the post.
A post that were liked, loved, haha, wow, sad or angry will show the emoji with people’s names who reacted on them when you hover your mouse on anyone of them. A post will show only the top three most selected emoji and the total counts of all reactions being clicked on a post.
How to use the new like button on Facebook Mobile Android or Apple iOS
To select the old original like, just tap on the like button like how you did in the past.
To select the new like, love, haha, wow, sad or angry reactions, tap and hold your finger on the like button. The row of new like button and reactions will show up after about a second of holding the like button. While hold the like button, slowly move your finger to your desired reaction for the post. Release to select the reaction.
If you release without selecting an emoji, it will cancel the action, thus, not selecting any reaction.
How to Change the like, love, haha, wow, sad or angry to other reaction or like in Facebook
If you have mistakenly selected the wrong reaction or emoji, you can change it by simply hover your mouse onto the like button again and select your desired new reaction.
However, you cannot select more than one reaction at a time for a single post. You cannot hide the name from appearing on your selected reaction on a post.
How to Remove the like, love, haha, wow, sad or angry reaction from a post in Facebook
If you would like to just remove your like or unlike the post, simply click on the like button or whichever reaction button again (not the pop up reaction emoji). It will then remove your like from the post.
