Clash of clans is one of the most anticipated mobile app/games currently in the market. As we already know that Clash of Clans is a mobile game and is never made for PC or Mac. It targets only the users who have a touchscreen device.

To understand how it works, we first need to understand what Bluestacks does. Bluestacks, as we know, is an android emulator that emulates a virtual android device on your computer. So, after we have installed this emulator, you will virtually have something like a tablet on your screen which display and act exactly like an android mobile phone or a tablet. We will then install Clash of Clans onto the emulator and runs from it.
How to install Clash of Clans in Bluestacks
The very first step is to, of course, install Bluestacks. Head to Bluestacks.com and look for a download link that match your Windows or Mac OS version (if it doesn’t already detected yours). Download and install it.

If nothing goes wrong during the installation, when you run Bluestacks, it should look like the screenshot below (ignore all the installed app, you will get to install them soon enough).
To install Clash of Clans in your Bluestacks App Player, click on the “Search” appeared as the first icon in the Bluestacks window. Search for Clash of Clans and click on it. Before you get to download it, you will be asked to sign in to your Google account as you would on your mobile phone. Another thing worth noting is that Bluestacks will gradually show you two choices which are compulsory for you to choose one. You will be asked to either pay 2$ a month to continue using it or install 2 sponsored App and continue running Bluestacks for free. There is no downside of installing their sponsored app at all. You might as well just install the sponsored App and use Bluestacks freely. Well, if you are so generous enough to pay Bluestacks, pay and save the hassle from having to install these apps from time to time.

Clash of Clans is a slow pace mobile game that takes 5-10mins each day for casual progression (if you are looking to get yourself into the ladder, you may need hours). You will be given 2 builders by default which will be used to build buildings for your base. You can have as many as 5 builders either by completing achievements (which usually takes months) or by paying for gems. The more builders you have, the faster you can upgrade your buildings and thus further advancing your base.
It’s a very competitive game with highly tense gameplay environment which makes people willing to pay for the game. When they pay, they pay a lot, and I meant a lot like thousands of dollars per enthusiastic player. Well, personally, I paid a couple of dollars just to quickly get all the 5 builders and keep them busy.
The main currency in this game is GEM. These gems can be used to purchase more builders, as mentioned earlier, and complete your upgrades without the waiting cooldown, exchange for other currencies such as gold or elixir, or to instantly produce troop. The most common usage of gem is, of course, to complete upgrades that take days or even weeks (that’s what I meant slow pace and I’ve been playing CoC for years now, cheers).
Gem can be earned for free from completing achievement or what they often called, quests, otherwise you would have to pay for them. Don’t waste your gem onto anything except for getting builders. When you have collected all 5 builders, excess gem can be used to complete long term upgrades (at least 10 days to be worth it).
Gold and elixir, however, cannot be purchased directly by cash but can be converted by using gem. Don’t do this because it’s extremely inefficient and not worth the money. Well, other than collecting from your gold miners and elixir collectors daily, the best way to farm for gold and elixir is by farming (and this is what you need maybe an hour a day to be on CoC).
